I am happy to read such an edifying post... especially after you have known 9 years with @jsmilez. When you speak well about a person it works on several layers. You feel better about that person (you focus on his/her positives). You help that person to be better ... acknowledging and rewarding that person for positive behaviour. You help your readers to be better - you help them to see a better path forward.
