In the United States, Columbus Day or Columbus Day is celebrated on the second Monday of October. Meanwhile, in Spain and several Latin American countries we celebrated Columbus Day or Columbus Day on October 12, commemorating that 526 years ago, the Italian navigator Christopher Columbus arrived in the Americas.
However, although he made several trips between Europe and the so-called New World, Columbus never visited the territory currently occupied by the United States. An animation by the Ministry of Education of Argentina shows that Columbus made four trips in America, three of them to Caribbean islands and only one to continental land, Panama.
