Introduction

Hello everyone!! My name is Heena and I am a Teacher for underprivileged children in an NGO.
Ever since I joined NGO and started teaching children in the age group of four to fifteen years, I find that I have finally found what I want to do with my life.These kids give you such unconditional love and respect that it can get enormous at times.Teaching them and seeing their eagerness to learn took me back to my school days and made me wonder why I wasn't as passionate as them.

There were moments that touched my heart beyond anything I'd ever felt. On my birthday, my students surprised me with gift,chocolate and a pastry.They even wrote on the green board "Happy Birthday Heena Mam".Why was this so profuse? It's because they had been collecting up the little money since three months before my birthday which was given to them by their parents for buying snacks for them. Even the school staff surprised me with a cake..Surprising, isn't it?

All the love and respect given by them and spending quality time and knowing about their lifes up and down situation makes me realize that despite of having less there is always a smile on their faces whenever I see them..I have learnt alot from my students how to be happy even in your saddest moment..
