Design, Art, Music and my pet Dog - Introduceyourself post.
Hello Steemit World!
I’d like to give a short introduction to myself and my blog by telling you about my passions and interests that keep me sane in this crazy world. I’ll start off by saying that I’ll be known as l-matrix97 on Steemit instead of my real name as I’d like to stay anonymous for now - this may change in the future.
My Dog!
Everything about the world interests me, meaning that I ask way too many questions to myself and others on a day-to-day basis. I find ways to express these curiosities in creative ways - mainly in art - but also in music and design. My job as a Graphic Designer allows me to do what I love everyday, which I am grateful for, but it’s what I do at home in my spare time which gives me power to express myself in many different ways.
It’s not unusual for me to spend a whole weekend painting a picture of my dog, drawing random things or playing guitar in my room but these are all things that allow me to express myself. Not everything I do has a meaning or a reason behind it, but it is through this blog where I aim to discover the reasons behind why I do what I do, while also learning more about the world that we live in.
You can expect to see a range of topics covered in my blog related to art, design and music as well as my latest trip to Europe - my pet dog may even make an appearance. I can’t wait for everyone to read and hopefully enjoy my posts!

First piece of advice I can give is don't give up to fast on steemit. It takes time to grow a following. As a brand new user you want to avoid resteeming to much stuff that is not your own, especially if you intend on doing some posting. Don't drown your post in a sea of crap resteems. Don't let anyone bully you for a vote, I saw that happen on a 16 year olds introduction post, so don't let anyone bully you.
Try not to, and it is hard not to, but try not to over vote on your first few days. Try to stay as close to ten upvotes as you can. It takes 24 hours to go from 90% vote power back to 100% vote power, so try to stay with 10-15 votes a day range that way you do not deplete your vote power. For the first 2 months do not worry about your vote having no real value, it does and it will and it will grow.
Use the wallet and power up all your rewards into SP. SP is what is going to increase your vote power. It will take awhile but eventually your Steem Power (SP) will grow and your vote power with it.
Look at the tags of things that you enjoy doing,. When you find an interesting post, comment on it, make a real comment think about what kept you reading the post, why you enjoyed the post, and leave a comment of the type you would like left on your blog/post.
Here are a couple people that have initiated a help the newbie project. @mudcat32 he is pretty busy right now but will take the time to try and help, he is located somewhere in England. @davemccoy is located in the Eastern parts of United States of America.
