You live in such a wonderful country. @poss. I always wanted to go to the mountains, but did not succeed yet for various reasons=)
Yeah as we talked in your post, being small has advantages and disadvantages. One of our advantage is that from Ljubljana where i live, it's 1 hour drive to any part of our country. I can go to the sea, to the mountains and everything is close. :)
I love mountains and living 20-60 min away from every routes starting point ... well it's easy to visit them regularly :)
