Hi I'm Sylvia, a French national and an English-speaking Montessori teacher who loves and lives to travel, take photos, and experience as much as I can while my legs still allow me to do so. The greetings in the title are Hello’s from the places where I’ve worked and lived over the past few years.
Originally from France, I grew-up in Canada and started my journey in the world of education by teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language) for over 10 years in France, Vietnam and Japan. In 2010, having observed children for many years and eager to learn more about alternative educational systems, I went back to Paris to train as a Montessori guide/educator. I then moved to Hong Kong where I taught for 3 years.
I have also guided children, helped train teachers and develop Montessori programs in Hangzhou, China and Kathmandu, Nepal.

I am currently living in Spain and loving it, but always looking out for my next adventure. There are so many places and cultures to experience, and yet so little time!
Very excited to start meeting you all on this platform. I am likely to focus on reading and writing blogs related to education, travel, photography, and the occasional funny blog😊 I may even write a few blogs in both French and English, if I find the courage.

Glad we can finally (stee)meet @mindhunter! I've read and seen a few of your past blogs thanks to Asher. Happy to get to know you more through this platform and thank you so much for the upvote and resteem! I'm in the process of learning how all this works but any tips/recommendations are more than welcome.
Yes, we meet at last @osm0sis - I'm sure Asher has informed you of all the marine life on Steemit :)! The only advice I'd give you here is to speak from the heart <3 and you'll never go wrong - this is a whole different ball game from Facebook ;) (but I don't need to tell a well travelled woman all that!) Steem on!
Haha...Yes he has! It's a scary underwater world in here. I'm just a little plankton for now. Keep swimmin'... just keep swimmin' :)

Nice meeting you too. its great to hear that you are planning to visit KTM - you will love it because you will be right in the middle of the largest festival we observe here in Nepal - Dashain and Tihar.
As for further work, I am planning another screening program in few months time. Do let me know if you feel this is much needed somewhere you visit. We can always direct the resources and man power to places in need. Regards.

Great story and beautiful calling, my wife is a teacher too and she always talks about Montessori, we´ve seen the movie and I was very impressed. Would like to see her methods taught more widely.

Hello Sylvia, welcome to Steemit! There's a lot to learn here and it was definitely overwhelming for me the first couple of weeks. Understanding it comes with time and I'm still learning something new it seems like every day.

Thanks John! Looking forward to learning some of those cool yoga poses you post about. I do cartwheels and handstands (although a bit rusty)... that's the extent of my "yoga"! Namaste
