A kid with a camera a man with a plan #introduceyourself

Hello Seemians, my name is Sam, I'm 26 years young, a photographer from the good ol mitten state. MICHIGAN! A small town called Whitehall on Michigan's west side near the great lakes shore line. It's a beautiful place to live and visit, from the dunes to the amazing national forest's Michigan is an outdoor recreation paridise.

I've always loved the outdoors ever since I was young when my dad would take me and my 4 brother's camping, we would stay out week or 2 at a time and fish and hike all over the Manistee national forest and all over Michigan's upper peninsula. Thats when it all started for me as a photographer. I was 15 at the time my dad came home from work and had been givin a camera one of those old twist up disposable cameras and I can remember the very 1st photo I snapped.

It was of the fog rolling over the river at diamonds point. I remember getting all the images back from Walgreen's and seeing how awesome the fog looked that morning it was quite cold out and dew from the morning was still present on most of the leaf's. There was two tall green ferns standing near the rivers edge I squated down and framed them into the corner of my shot with the river in the foreground. The fog rolled in like a wave of thick smoke that blanketed the entire river making the river disappear behind it.Sadly the picture has since been lost to time, It was simply amazing timing and luck but from that point on I never left without my camera in hand!

To me the chase of trying to find those perfect type of shots has been the centerpoint of inspiration in my photography. To be at the right place at the right time is always a challenge it can be enduring and truly a fantastic adventure. For me photography is much more then just a hobby it's a part of everyday life, not only to capture and save the memories we create everyday but also to express my own sence of artwork and to portray the beauty that is all around us that most people seem to take for granted. The simple things we miss everyday like a sunset or a sunrise or the way the traffic lights reflect off the road after a good hard rain. These things are so small so minutely hiddin within all the drama of the day that they just disappeared. But these are the things that make life so unique and amazing. I always think of this quote...

That to me is what photography is all about, capturing moments that are otherwise hidden from your view on a normal basis.

Okay ladies and gents now that you know a little about myself we can dive into the main course

Being that this is my first official blog post on
the Steemit platform I want to first share with you my goals here on this amazing website.

1. BLOG DAILY: Travel photography, daily adventures with yours truly lol
2. MEET PEOPLE: Finding a group of like minded individuals, collaborating on projects, sharing ideas and photography.
   3.HAVING FUN: Most importantly having a good time and making friends.

These are just a few of my recent photo outings, I'm a fulltime photographer so "shoot daily" is something that I take to a new level lol hundreds of photo's a week is a normal activity for me and don't even get ne started in post processing! Hours and hours of post work a week is also on my agenda haha I dabble a bit in graphic design as well, I've made a few logos here and there. But i don't want to make this intro to long and boring as i am probably starting to ramble so I will end this here on this note.... Be kind, be humble and shoot DAILY!
