Hello World (from Africa),
my name is TUYIZERE Samuel and i’m writing this in my room in this vibrant city of Kigali,Rwanda.
I used to read about blockchain and cryptocurrencies on the Internet almost everyday and thought that it was one of these things that never reaches Africa, until I hosted my first Blockchain Meet-up with The StartupGrind Kigali and it all opened my eyes since then. I meet @cryptotraveler1 who is travelling the whole of Africa educating college students about blockchain, together we had organizing two Blockchain meet-ups so far (one for 4new.io and another for entrade.io) and we’ve reached more than 100 Rwandans who were interested and hungry for knowing what blockkchains can benefit them.
As we’re going to host probably more than 100 other meetups, I decided to start writing and sharing our progress as the blockchain community in Rwanda and what I have learned so far.
The future looks very interesting and bright as there a billions of opportunities blockchain solutions can tap into in Africa, I am currently learning solidity and looking forward to deploying my first DAPP built on top of Ethereum in october.
