My First Steemit Post! Will You Make Me One Of Yours?
This is my first ever blog post so before thinking how I can go about writing my first blog post which will be the introduction post I thought to myself if I was going to read a blog post about self introduction how would I want it to be and I think that really helps to bring out the best creativity when you think from your perspective on what you would want something to be.
So here's my humble introduction to the whole steemit community. 😊
I'm Steve, I had been part of lots of communities here and there on the internet and when I found out about Steemit I was very excited, I was also wondering if I can find amazing people who would be interested to share their thoughts on science and technology I'll tell you why because most of the communities I was part of there were only a handful of folks who were amazing about what they share.
I'll tell you more about my life. I never had a good or happy life growing up, I was always bullied here and there and even in the family. Growing up I never got any love or support the way I wanted from my parents or family, they were like always against me.
I grew up in a religious type of society and culture and I think I was the only one who became an atheist at a very early age.
Well I could never agree with anyone while I was growing up it was always me living on my own in my own world without talking to anyone.
I'll talk about my biggest community that I had ever made it was a Facebook group back in 2013.
So I was obsessed with discussing science and I remember at night I wondered wouldn't it be great if I can create a Facebook group where we can have many many open discussions and then I was on it making the group I named it "Science Genius" then I was more obsessed about growing the group and making it popular so I kept working real hard trying to introduce the group to people then very soon the day came when I was getting more than 5,000 join requests and I was doing it all alone with lots of hopes.
I got lots of praises from the community then I got attachments with some people and gave them the control to grow the group.
Pretty soon with more discussions I began to step back as I realized most of the people are very mediocre and you know it's the internet where people are so mean.
Soon after I became less interested in the group and then I handed the group to a very trusted friend from Florida and I left, at that time the group had more than 135,000 members. I hate Facebook now because I think the best people hangout elsewhere but I didn't go about joining other forums for that.
I'm also a devoted programmer and I've worked on many Android application for clients and now I do more like cross platform development mostly Indie game development but I had been off on that for a month or so.
So enough about me, I know it wasn't an extensive introduction post because I hate most of my past and I'm really looking forward for a great future.
I'm very excited to explore the community of science and technology on this platform and I hope I'll find lots of great people to interact with.
I'm planning to bring some very exciting stuffs to share with you in my future posts and I'll try to keep them short fun and straight to the point but your feedback will be a big part for improvements as I believe it's not about what you want but it's about what your readers or like consumers want.
So I was thinking of what I should write next and I thought it would be very interesting to write about how scientists put a worm brain into a robot and mimic the robot like a worm with recent developmental updates.
If you are interested for my next post then do Follow Me and stay tuned.
I'm sorry Steemians that I couldn't share my actual photo, I don't think I look that great. Maybe in the future I'll make another extensive late introduction post where I'll share my photo. 😊
If you've read through till here than you are awesome. 😊
Tell me down in the comments if you have something for me to hear. 😊
Welcome to steemit Steve, it's good to see a fellow logical and science lover.
Since you're a programer, you might want to check www.utopian.io to speed up your grow
Thanks for your warm welcome.
And thanks for reading through.
Can you please tell me more about it and how I might be able to benefit from that? 😊
If you are happy with me then maybe stay tuned for my next post. 😊
Utopian is rewarding cotributions to open source projects, few good contributions will slingshot you beyound the first few months of posting grind
Welcome to SteemIt! I myself have a somewhat group in facebook, it used to be great when we were few, people were really interacting, when it gained more popularity, came with the trolls. Had to leave them. Well, looking forward to your posts!
Welcome to the community Steve! You'll love it here and there is an awesome science community. You might like to use the tag 'steemstem' in your science-based posts too as a lot of content is put there
Looking forward to your future posts!
Thanks for the warm welcome dear.
Thanks for recommending, yes I've already seen that a lot of related posts are put under that so I've already used that tag at the last.
Thanks dear stay tuned I'll post soon. 😊
Welcome to Steemit! I just joined recently as well and I think you will enjoy it here. Steemit seems like a great place to find others who are interested in just about everything. I actually saw the video which talked about the simulated worm brain which was programmed into the robot and it was very interesting. I think it is wild, even though it is a small creature, that every cell and neuron was catalogued as well as the interactions between each cell and neuron. I have taken some programming courses at my university (mostly OOP) and only done the basics. I can only imagine the difficulty of coding the simulated worm brain.
Welcome to steemit. There are plenty of science and book nerds here. To go with the crypto nerds. :)
it can be tough when we get lost
Yeah I agree but I wasn't lost, I was just not found by the right people or community and I hope steemit will be that place. 😊
Welcome to the Steem World!
I have recently made an orientation video that will help you in your journey here - and will hopefully answer all the questions that took me months to figure out.

I wish you all the best here on Steem!
I will also use the tag : @originalworks for this post, this will summon a robot that, if you wrote this original article, will give you an additional upvote. :)
The @OriginalWorks bot has determined this post by @science-guy to be original material and upvoted it!
To call @OriginalWorks, simply reply to any post with @originalworks or !originalworks in your message!
Hi Steve and welcome to steemit! There are plenty of science and tech folks floating around to hopeful find interest in your content. Best of luck and thank you for the great intro.
Hey! Welcome to Steemit! This community is amazing but does take some getting use to since it’s a bit different than the other social media platforms.
I joined Steemit December 30th, 2017 and have had a blast networking, learning and earning (actually made some pretty good money so far)!
I'd suggest signing up for these free applications for Steemit that gets you upvotes and followers. The first thing you need to do as a new user is to increase your STEEM POWER (SP), which increases your visibility and voting power. These were a huge help for me.
Feel free to follow me @entrepreneur916, as I continue to post content to help make the Steemit community better and to help new members!
Respectfully yours,

Welcome to steemit! Hopefully you find a really great community here and I'm 100% sure that you've pleanty to offer in terms of fun posts as well :)
