From Doctor to Rambling on the Internet: An Ongoing Journey
One of Malaysia's Jewels, Perhentian Islands

Just a Dash of My History
My journey began in a beautiful tropical country just north of the equator. Imagine if you will, crystal-clear blue ocean, sandy fine white beaches, cool hair-brushing breeze and hammocks hanging from shady coconut trees. Malaysia is a paradise country blessed with many natural resources and free from natural disasters.
I was born near the Southern tip of Malaysia and was raised in a port town. I attended a Lasallian high school where I was elected as the head boy and house captain. My favourite subjects in school were Mathematics, Physics and Physical Education (not necessarily in that order). Thereafter, I furthered my education at University of St Andrews reading medicine.
After graduating from St Andrews with an honours bachelors degree, I was lucky enough to be accepted into University of Cambridge to complete my clinical years. However, one year into a three-year course, I made a very tough decision to drop out and to pursue my passion in entrepreneurship. The courses at St Andrews and Cambridge were brilliantly structured and the classmates I had were the most intellectual yet down-to-earth people I've met. In spite of my failings, I am very grateful for the people I've met and the close friendships I've formed.
Hoping to go the way of Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg after dropping out, I did not quite reach the height nor the scale of their achievements (massive understatement). I ventured into the F&B business with a couple of high school friends. A few years later, we sold our business and I've been working in private equity for a group of high net worth individuals since, where we focus on property development and the oil and gas sector.

Journey on the SteemEngine
I will like to thank @kevinwong for introducing Steemit to me and guiding me on various tech topics. From what I've gathered thus far, this seems to be an ideal platform for me to ramble on about topics that are close to my heart.
I prefer to stay anonymous, at least for the time being, because on this platform, I hope I can voice my views with minimal inhibitions. Therefore, I sincerely hope that you, my fellow readers, can judge my views on their merits, without being swayed or bogged down by the identity of the writer.
I am very curious by nature, enough to kill many cats (even the super cute ones on the internet). I will present my views on things and hopefully my fellow readers will engage me, converse with me and let me know what you think, be it in agreement or disagreement with what I've written. Through your thoughts, I hope to broaden my perspectives and widen my horizons.
For the majority of times, if presented with valid points or solid arguments, I'll happily concede and change my stance on issues. After all, I believe in personal life-long learning and I'm an eager student.
However, for other times (very few and far between, at least that's what I tell myself), even when presented with very strong cases, I have been known to stand my ground and stick to my beliefs. These could be due to observations I've made that I may not be at liberty to share or in the worst situations, due to my downright STUBBORNESS. In light of these occasions in the future, I humbly apologise in advance and hope we can agree to disagree.
With all that being said, let the engagements and conversations begin...
