Beep, Beep, Hello Humans
Hello Steemians! My name is Andrew, but you can call me thatbionicdude. I'm a 25-year-old American living with Parkinson's Disease. I had Deep Brain Stimulation in March of 2015, and I've been living life as a cyborg ever since.
I've blogged about my life with PD in the past on different platforms, but I haven't updated in a long time. Since my last post, there has been a ton of things to happen in my life. I just started my own online retail business and a few months ago I got bitten hard by the crypto-bug. That's how I learned about Steemit, which I think is either a revolutionary idea or the world's most interesting Ponzi-scheme. At the very least it should keep me motivated to post more frequently than I have in the past.
In terms of content I'm going to start by moving over existing posts I have on other platforms. Then I'll probably write a big long post to catch you up on my life. From there I'll be posting frequently about my life with PD, and my ongoing adventures in online retail and the broader blockchain revolution.
I can't wait to connect with you all. We're going to change the world!!

Absolutely. With Trump leading our government here in the USA things feel pretty dystopian these days. The blockchain is one of the few things that really makes me hopeful for the future.

Welcome and I thought I would point out to you a couple of websites that help you keep track of the behind the scenes of your account. (they are very helpful to see your voting power, how much your votes are worth, etc.)
There are many other apps/interconnected websites that make Steemit more useful also and you can find them at the Steemit app center with the steemtools link.

I have in the past dealt with Parkinson’s when my grandma contracted it after the hospital gave her the wrong medication, I remember what it was like and how life changing it was for us all.
