 I’m back! 

  After a first failed attempt, I’m back to this platform. The truth is that two years ago I did not quite understand 100% the functioning of this great social network. There is a lot I still do not quite comprehend but, this time, I have the support and motivation of a great friend who has some experience in this communication platform.

 Allow me to introduce myself again. I am Vasco Vieira, a Venezuelan English teacher, independent movie maker, a freelance comic artist and illustrator. Through my blog I’ll show you part of my work in illustrations, comics, as well as my audiovisual works and what it means to be an artist in my country.

First Post of 2020

 I set many goals for this year, among them to rescue my Steemit blog and provide, at least once a week, publications with samples of my art. I start by presenting to you my first illustration for the new Inktober 2020 challenge (Challenge 52), launched by its creator, American comic artist and illustrator, Jake Parker, via his Instagram account. We are supposed to publish one illustration a week for a year (52 weeks / 52 illustrations). The challenge started with the word ‘Flight’which inspired the illustration accompanying this post.

 This illustration was done with pencil (3H) Fabber Casstle and inked with a No 1 brush and Pelikan Chinese ink. The hatch patterns were traced with a KORE 0.5 mm disposable rapidograf.
