Richard David Court (Beckenham, March 6, 1952) is a British singer and songwriter based in Brazil. He is the author of several hits such as "Menina Veneno", "A Vida Tem Das Das Coisas", "Pelo Interfone", "Casanova" and "Voo de Coração".
In 1982, he sought Bernardo Vilhena, lyricist of Vímana, to compose his first solo work sung only in Portuguese. Liminha, at that time a Warner producer, helped to record the demo of "Menina Veneno" on 4 channels. Sales of the single compact (CBS), released in February 1983 with "Menina veneno" and "Baby, meu bem", exceeded 500 thousand copies, a milestone in the history of the Brazilian phonographic market.
