Hi @triceratops! Welcome to Steemit! I'm new to the community too - and trust me, took me a while to get my photos up as well. What I did was instead of using the 'Editor' to insert an image, I switched the post to 'HTML' - with HTML, you can simply paste/upload your photo from your device, instead of having to upload it unto a 3rd party image site.
Btw, you can tag someone in the community with an alias @ instead of a hashtag :) Hope this helps!
Thanks @lalithamonisha. We need to stick together! I'm not so concerned about inserting images into posts. I can't figure out how to insert my image into settings. I've tried two different third party converters but no luck. Thanks for your help though. Stay in touch!
