Introduction Story - About Me - Simonsayz
Hi Steemit Community!
And hello to the new social media / blog experience coupled with cryptocurrency that is "steemit" - this is definitely a new frontier and to me, part of Web 3.0. I hope I haven't offended anyone with my inexperienced view of what Steemit actually is, I have only just began learning about it.
I have read that Web 3.0 is the next fundamental change both in how websites are created and more importantly, how people interact with them. Steemit appears at first glance revolutionary to me and I am excited to have finally joined.
Who am I ?
My name is Simon Connolly, I hail from the beautiful city of Melbourne in Australia. In case you didn't know, Melbourne was ranked world's most liveable city for six consecutive years by EIU. I think it is dropping down the list in 2017 , ah well! I will write a story about Melbourne for all interested shortly, so please check back or follow me.
I love travelling, I am a massive foodie (even run and organised my own food festivals, always hunting down street food every city around the world I visit), love music, cryptocurrency and trading!
Okay, a little about my life experiences, I worked in the Entertainment industry for around 10 years in Event Management and focused on Music Festivals and Artist Touring , this was a very enlightening experience and will probably be a topic in one or two of my stories at a later date no doubt.
I then entered corporate land as a business analyst / manager for 10 years, whilst this wasn't the most favourite part of my life, it taught me some skills in self motivation and organisational process and procedures that I could take away to help me in the next stages of my life.
Most recently and due to my interest in Street food, I organised two events in Melbourne that focused on World Street Food , it featured food trucks and vendors that showcased different countries food and culture, it also contained some decent music artists and other entertainment. Here are some photos of the events.
I have a huge passion for travel and I recently took a well deserved year off and travelled through Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Maldives, Greece, Italy, Croatia and a few other countries. I am preparing my first travel story now and I will have it online shortly, here are some photos of my recent travel. I always hope to be able to earn enough money working online to be able to afford to keep travelling and experiencing every corner of the globe. I couldn't think of anything better than being able to live the laptop lifestyle. Is it possible for me? Who knows.. There are plenty of success stories out there of people who have achieved this.
Here are some various photos - please also view my instagram for more food and travel shots - warning - may make you hungry!

That is false information. The rewards are based on votes on all posts not how much you post. They also vary with the value of steem on the market.
please don't lie to people. i will provide link of information. prices fluctuate because of steem on market is another story and that changes possible outcome by cents not dollars ok?
