Hi there! Nice to meet a fellow newbie. Your coast guard adventures sound very cool. You should share stories about that here. It would be cool to read about. I'm so excited that I've been able to sail again. When my parents passed away I thought that part of my life was over, since they were so skilled at sailing. (For some strange reason it didn't occur to me that I could pursue it on my own!) So when one of my younger brothers and I decided we were going to get our skills back up and just go for it, it was a real turning point for me. A huge boost to my confidence and what I thought was possible. It's been an exciting journey. We're studying up on navigation so we can do overnight trips like we used to do when we were kids. Here's to more adventures and stepping out of comfort zones!
