The Beginning of Success
The purpose of this blog is to help you invest intelligently, with the hopes that the lessons shared here will be retained and applied in your life to create a stable future for yourself and loved ones. The insights I have gleaned will be both financial and psychological in nature, nothing exists in isolation. Allow me to offer advice on how best to approach tough decisions in life, when and how to allocate financial investments and how to maximize your overall happiness and strength when dealing with difficult periods of those investments.

1. Goals and Steps Toward Achieving Them.
One of the biggest reasons individuals fail to achieve their goals is due to them being vague in nature. What I mean by this is; while you may be a driven person i.e. somebody that desires to do many things with their life, too often we have an idea of what we desire, an end result, without ever taking the time to outline how we plan to achieve it. This lack of planning results in frustration. We see time passing, but our progress toward our goals remains nearly or sometimes completely unaltered. This results in a very destructive and negative experience for us. What stems from it, if not corrected, is almost always a decline in productivity and due to that, a vicious cycle of self-realization that yet again you are no where near to the completion of the goals you hold.
The way to correct this is to divide the goal up into tasks that can be achieved daily, weekly, monthly or even yearly, depending on the magnitude of the goal and how realistically you will be able to achieve it within a given timeframe. One thing that may weaken your resolve, especially for the individuals who set long-term goals is the lack of accomplishment, productivity or progress that these steps may offer. An important item of note is that feeling accomplished or productive does not correlate to being productive.
For those who are interested in the feeling of productivity being incorporated into your progress toward realizing your goals I would suggest that you spend time thinking about ways you could include it in the activities that you are undertaking to make it more enjoyable. Even incremental progress toward your goals is to be celebrated.
You should take time to do some self-reflection and identify your weaknesses. You know them better than anyone else. After you have done this, endeavor to chip away at them. There is an enormous amount of detritus in our lives but it is only once we begin to clear it away that we start making progress. You are your most valuable investment.
Self-improvement is the best way to ensure success.
