My belief is they have to get the IPO out the door while it still has the high value.

I am not sure how quickly oil stocks will get further hit, but the move towards electric vehicles will make oil a worthless commodity at some point. Of course, we still have decades of oil need so worthless is a long way off. That said, as the exponential growth of EVs along with the implementation of solar and wind will put pressure on oil.

I would imagine by 2020 we will start to see some impact with 2025 having a much bigger effect. Heck, governments are already starting to set dates to outlaw fossil based vehicles.
