US / Israel nuclear trap

President trump is under immense economic pressure globally and is facing a domestic inflation crisis due to the oil price increase as Iran has closed off the Strait of Hormuz . In coordination with Israel , the US carried air strikes on the Iranian nuclear facility at Natanz on the 21st of March .

The nuclear facility at Natanz hosts underground centrifuges to enrich uranium for Iran's civilian nuclear program and was already damaged in last year's June war.

Iran is treating this as a deliberate attempt by the US / Israel coalition partners to trigger a nuclear catastrophe and achieve victory via an environmental and humanitarian disaster.

These strikes were a follow up to another strike that hit the vicinity of the Bushehr reactor . Iran in retaliation struck Dimona with an ICBM . Dimona houses Israel's most critical nuclear reactor .

The the UN nuclear watchdog chief, Rafael Grossi, repeated a “call for military restraint to avoid any risk of a nuclear accident”.

The coalitions munitions seems to be running low, but Iran hasn't letup in raining missiles on Israel . The US is already redeploying the THAAD system from Korea to the middle east. The war is becoming prohibitively expensive for the US . Inflation has been surging around the world , the Gulf nations have been facing multi-million dollar losses and the bombings don't seem to have the effect that Trump was hoping. President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 36 percent, its lowest level since he returned to office for a second presidential term, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll. . As mid term elections approach, the pressure seems to be mounting on him to accept a ceasefire on unfavorable terms.

The targeting of the Natanz nuclear site is a violation of the Article 56 of the Additional Protocol I to the Geneva convention which forbids attacks on nuclear facilities.

This is a terrifying escalation in the third week of this war with both sides trading threats of incident that could lead to nuclear fallout. There is no doubt that the newer, modern missiles on display from the Iranians have capability of striking the Dimona reactor and the same can be said for US/ Israel munitions striking the Iranian nuclear facilities . If not contained now , the fallout could have far reaching consequences .
