Islamic Religion Teaching About the Human Spirit
As explained earlier in my previous post, we face 2 realms, namely the real world and the supernatural. Real nature is nature that we can capture with our five senses, which is nature which consists of objects, whether solid, liquid or gas. We can investigate the nature of this object, we discuss it, we analyze it with reason and knowledge. Whereas the supernatural nature is nature which is not in the form of things. We cannot grasp this magical realm with our five senses. We cannot investigate it with reason and science.
We humans do not know anything about the unseen nature. If there are experts who think about the unseen realms, for example about the human spirit, about angels, jinns, demons, especially life after death, then all that is an opinion, theory, guess and estimation, which cannot be ascertained.
The Word of Allah SWT in An-Nahl letter 65:
"Say (O Muhammad): None in the heavens and the earth knoweth the Unseen other than Allah, and they know not when they shall be raised."
Al-An'am 59 :
"In the sight of Allah is the key to the unseen, and no one knows except God."
With these two verses and many other verses in the Qur'an, it is affirmed as emphatically that regarding occult matters, about the unseen realms, about spirits, angels, jinns and demons, especially about life in the Barzakh realm and afterlife no one will know it except Allah alone. Prophets, Apostles and angels did not know it.
Since the supernatural matters are necessary then we humans know it, because we will enter that supernatural after we die, then Allah explains some of the unseen things to us by means of the Scriptures, through the prophets and apostles . The evidence was conveyed to the Prophets and Messengers by the angels, to be conveyed to all mankind. So both the Prophet, the Apostle or the Angels only know the unseen things just what God revealed to them.
