Prince Edward Island (PEI) is known for its red sand beaches, Canada's favourite childhood novel Anne of Green Gables, and potatoes! Yep, and there is even the Canadian Potato Museum here (worth a visit if you're in the area). The province, like most in the maritime provinces, is renowned for its seafood, particularly lobster and mussels.
