I think believes that it is their land and maybe if you check history very well, you will discover that the land is for Israel.
It is like the world don't like Israel that is why they want to wipe them out of the face of the earth, like the Palestinians keep saying.
If you check history, you will see Israel was created in 1948. And since then it has kept taking more land from others. No problem there... let's use to Bible to justify anything we want.
Israel has held the Golan for longer than Syria ever held it (43 years vs 51 years).

In 1948, 1967, 1973 Syria attacked Israel and lost each of these wars. Losing parties who start wars often lose land. That is perfectly normal under international law and practice. Germany, Italy & Japan lost huge amounts of territory after WWI & WWII.

The hate on Israel just doesn't seem normal to me. People go kill others all in the name of religion, I don't see anyone hating that and speaking out against it.
Israel must protect itself from neighbors who hate them and it is perfectly normal.
I don’t want to wipe anybody out, I want other nations to stop oppressing one other nations and killing their people. Nations can border each other and not kill each other. Israel wants the Golan for its gas reserves which are apparently very large.
There is no gas on the Golan. Israel’s huge gas reserves are in the Mediterranean Sea.

Israel's sea based gas finds are already in production and dwarf anything on the Golan. It is irrelevant. Israel's interest in the Golan Heights is because its strategic high ground. Before 1967 Syrian artillery regularly shelled Israeli farmers from the Golan.
Ah I didn't know they switched gears to drill for water. Thanks for that info.
