구글이 모든 안드로이드 폰을 통해 위치정보를 수집해왔다는 걸 시인했습니다. 보안 권장 사항 중 하나가 위치정보 꺼두는 것인데, 알고 보니 소용없는 짓이었습니다. 역시 아이폰뿐인가요. 또한 암호화폐 테더 측에서도 큰 도난 사고가 발생했습니다. 무려 3천만 달러에 해당하는 금액이 비트코인 지갑으로 옮겨진 건데요, 아직 사건의 경위는 드러나지 않고 있습니다. 암호화폐의 갈 길이 아직 멀어 보입니다.
안드로이드 폰의 경우 현재 위치 관련 서비스를 비활성화시키고, 심지어 전화기에 심카드를 꼽지 않은 채 있어도 사용자의 위치 정보가 구글로 전송됐다는 사실이 드러났습니다. 구글은 위치 정보 옵션이 꺼져 있더라도 해당 기기가 어떤 기지국을 통해 통신하고 있는지를 파악해 기기의 위치를 알아낼 수 있었다고 합니다. 이러한 기능은 고객이 비활성화 시킬 수도 없었다고 합니다. 모든 안드로이드 폰이 이러한 위치 정보 수집 대상이었습니다.
