EVERYONE HAS ISSUES

READ: Matthew 9:18-22
MORE LESSON: Philippians 4:6-9

I hope you know that I am a man that God has blessed but I still have matters for which I'm looking up to Him. Every man has an issue. The other day a woman who had an issue of blood met Jesus. The issue in her life was that the flow of blood had refused to stop. But in that place that day, every individual standing also had an issue. Blind Bartimaeus' issue was blindness; Zacchaeus was concerned with redemption; sin was killing him, and he needed the Saviour badly. Abraham had the issue of barrenness, so also Isaac who, in addition, had to deal with famine. Jacob had problem with Esau that pursued him for 25 years. He ran away from home and the man he ran from was still alive and well, waiting for him to revenge. That was an issue.

It is only a dead man that has no challenges. His issue has ended; he is dead and buried. A man who lived and walked around here alone in his old age used to drink and everyone was tired of him and dissociated themselves from him. It is only when you live well that people come to you, but a rich man is a friend of many. Wealth is a friend of all but poverty is detested. This man eventually died inside his house. No one went to look for him for days as he had no friend. The body began to stink and people went to check what was smelling and found him dead. Because of the trouble the dead body would cause, they buried him not because they loved him, but because he was going to be a problem. When you die whatever problem you have ends. The dead are not living in hope, there is nothing to hope for. A dead man has no hope. He doesn't operate by faith because he has no burden or issue.

Whatever your issue is, it has an expiry date no matter how bad it may degenerate. So long as you are still alive, there is hope for your situation. The Bible says, For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant: Job 14:7-9. Bring that issue to God and He will cause the dew of Heaven to fall upon it and you will sing for joy, in Jesus’ name. Don't die because of the thought of your issue for every living man has one; whatever yours may be, rise above it by faith in God, by prayer and righteousness and the problem will bow to the name of the Lord.

• Invite the power of God to attend to every issue in your life.
• Declare that no problem of life will prevail over your faith in God.
• Pray that your faith will rise above the issues of your life.
