Corfù - seconda escursione

Eccomi di nuovo con voi amici Steemittiani,
per raccontarvi questa seconda escursione nell'isola di Corfù, che abbiamo raggiunto la mattina del terzo giorno, dopo la solita abbondantissima colazione che consumata con la vista del mare assume tutto un altro sapore...mi sentivo davvero rilassata, nonostante vi fosse sempre la spiacevole situazione del self service con le sue interminabili code.

Una volta pronti e con lo zaino porta - bimbo alle spalle, prendiamo il solito pullman che ci avrebbe condotto alla bellissima isola di Paleokastritsa, di cui avremmo dovuto vedere anche il monastero, ma che per ragioni di un precedente alluvione non abbiamo potuto visitare.

Il panorama che possiamo ammirare dal pullman è davvero suggestivo: spiagge con acque limpide e dai colori che sfumano da verde smeraldo al turchese, tutte circondate da una fitta vegetazione di alberi di pino dalle tonalità molto più scure, che entrano in contrasto con la brillantezza dei colori precedentemente descritti.

Finalmente la nostra guida è capace di raccontarci storia e aneddoti di quei luoghi, legati ai miti greci, di Ulisse che proprio a Paleokastritsa incontra Nausicaa dopo il naufragio, catturando così la nostra curiosità , mentre dai finestrini ammiriamo la bellezza di quei paesaggi.

Conosciamo inoltre un'altra coppia con bimbo piccolo a seguito e nonni materni, di Frascati, molto simpatica con cui stringiamo una bel rapporto di amicizia...
La crociera diventa così anche un modo per conoscere nuove persone con cui stringere rapporti: ci si racconta varie esperienze, le escursioni effettuate se diverse dalle proprie, i pro ed i contro di crociere passate, scoprendo notizie ed informazioni utili per le prossime, qualora si voglia rifare.

Nel frattempo, tra una chiacchierata e l'altra arriviamo all'isola di Paleokastritsa, una baia con spiaggia sabbiosa e acqua cristallina circondata da monti e da vegetazione.

Ci concedono un pò di tempo libero per poter fare delle foto.

Ritorniamo sul pullman per proseguire la nostra escursione, questa volta ci dirigiamo verso l'isolotto di Kanòni, che come si intuisce dalla parola significa cannone, in seguito alla installazione di un battaglione francese nel 1798, di cui si conserva un cannone messo in esposizione dinanzi ad un chiosco e del quale vi posto la foto:

Altri pochi minuti per poter fotografare dall'alto l'isolotto con il bianco monastero di Vlacherna, unito alla terraferma da un pontile (queste foto le ha scattate mio marito, il merito è suo!)

Proseguiamo il nostro tour alla volta della città di Corfù, che raggiungiamo in pochi minuti.
Qui la guida ci conduce fino ad una piazzetta con 1 chiesa della quali ci racconta un pò di storia per poi lasciarci liberi per visitare i dintorni, le strette stradine a ciottoli sulle quali si affacciano da entrambi i lati tanti negozi di souvenir per fare un pò di shopping.

Finita la nostra bella escursione facciamo ritorno alla nave, dove ci aspetta un pomeriggio di un pò di riposo, di passeggiate sui ponti dove sorseggiare un drink, di festa con le bolle e Peppa pig per far divertire il nostro bimbo, di tanto cibo, tra merende e cena al ristorante, e dello spettacolo serale che con le sue musiche e luci psichedeliche cattura anche l'interesse del bimbo..per la nostra gioia!

Here I am again with you Steemittiani friends,
to tell you about this second excursion on the island of Corfu, which we reached the morning of the third day, after the usual abundant breakfast that consumed with the sea view takes on another flavor ... I felt really relaxed, although there was always the unpleasant situation of the self-service with its endless queues.

Once ready and with the backpack carrying a child behind us, we take the usual bus that would take us to the beautiful island of Paleokastritsa, of which we should have seen the monastery, but that for reasons of a previous flood we do not have could visit.

The panorama that we can admire from the bus is really impressive: beaches with clear waters and colors that fade from emerald green to turquoise, all surrounded by dense vegetation of pine trees with much darker shades, which come into conflict with the brilliance of the colors previously described.

Finally our guide is able to tell us stories and anecdotes of those places, linked to the Greek myths, of Ulysses who in Paleokastritsa meets Nausicaa after the shipwreck, thus capturing our curiosity, while from the windows we admire the beauty of those landscapes.

We also know another couple with small children following and maternal grandparents, Frascati, very nice with whom we make a good friendship ...
The cruise thus becomes a way to meet new people with whom to build relationships: we talk about various experiences, excursions made if different from their own, the pros and cons of past cruises, discovering news and useful information for the next, if you want to redo.

Meanwhile, between a chat and the other we arrive at the island of Paleokastritsa, a bay with sandy beach and crystal clear water surrounded by mountains and vegetation.

They give us some free time to take pictures.

We return to the bus to continue our hike, this time we head towards the islet of Kanòni, which as you can guess from the word means cannon, following the installation of a French battalion in 1798, which is preserved a cannon put on display in front of a kiosk and of which I place the photo:

Another few minutes to be able to photograph the island with the white monastery of Vlacherna from above, joined to the mainland by a jetty (these photos have taken my husband, the merit is his!)

We continue our tour to the city of Corfu, which we reach in a few minutes.
Here the guide leads us to a small square with 1 church of which tells us a bit of history and then leave us free to visit the surroundings, the narrow cobblestone streets on which they overlook on both sides many souvenir shops to do a little of shopping.

After our beautiful hike we return to the ship, where we expect an afternoon of a bit of rest, walks on the decks where you can have a drink, party with bubbles and Peppa pig to entertain our baby, so much food, between snacks and dinner at the restaurant, and the evening show that with its music and psychedelic lights also captures the interest of the child .. for our joy!
