Carnival is a festival that is celebrated in countries with Catholic traditions.

The festivities often take place in public parades where playful and imaginative elements dominate; in particular, the distinctive and characteristic element of the carnival is the use of masking.

It is celebrated 40 days before Easter ( the tuesday and the thursday.

As italian tradition, next to a festivity there is alway a traditional food. Panettone for Christmas, Chocolate eggs for Easter and the Lentils for new years eve, here you can find out what our granma cooks for Carnival.

They are considered pretty much the basic of this week.
