L'8 marzo è stato il giorno della Donna, non ci sono parole per descrivere quanto ami le Donne e la profonda ammirazione che provo nei loro confronti.
Si si, sono un femminista convinto e ritengo che noi uomini ci stancheremmo solo a pensare a quello che le donne, le mogli o le mamme fanno ogni giorno. Ma lasciamo stare non voglio aprire futili polemiche o smielate dediche, no anzi voglio descrivere la femmina nel mondo animale, giusto per rendere omaggio anche a loro.

Api Regine
All'interno dell'ecosistema delle Api, in cima ci sono le Regine, la femmina che da vita a tutte le api.
Fin dalla sua nascita si sviluppa in una larva più grande del consueto, viene alimenta dalle api operaie con la pappa reale, che è una secrezione sul capo delle giovani api, e che serve per renderla sessualmente fertile.1
La riproduzione avviene mediante il così detto volo nuziale, in una giornata calda e assolata, l'ape regina esce dall'alveare per accoppiarsi con svariati fuchi, successivamente lo sperma verrà trattenuto all'interno della spermateca per poi dare vita alla fecondazione vera e propria.
In ogni famiglia ci sono diverse api regine e altrettante api vergini, pronte a sostituirle per dare seguito alla loro famiglia.

ELEFANTE AFRICANO
Chi poteva guidare il branco del mammifero più grande sulla Terra? una femmina, non vi erano dubbi.
Gli elefanti Africani che si spostano in gruppi, sono composti da femmine con i loro piccoli, e a capo solitamente vi è la matriarca, la femmina più adulta che sfrutta la sua grande memoria per ricordare i percorsi delle migrazioni.
La gestazione degli elefanti è lunghissima e varia dai 20 ai 22 mesi, per dare alla luce un solo piccolo di circa 100 kg, che verrà protetto e svezzato per i primi 3 anni. Nel caso la mamma venga a mancare, il gruppo e le altre femmine si prenderanno cura del piccolo (come una vera famiglia). 2

BONOBO
I "Pan paniscus", o scimpanzè pigmei o nani, sono originari dell'Africa, precisamente della Repubblica Democratica del Congo, comunemente sono chiamati "Bonobo", e si calcolano che siano circa 20.000 esemplari.
I Bonobo sono molto particolari, essendo l'unica specie tra le grandi scimmie a vivere all'interno di una comunità matriarcale. 3
Il sesso è centrale nella vita di queste scimmie, e viene fatto per risolvere i conflitti all'interno del gruppo.
L'accoppiamento può avvenire anche tra esemplari dello stesso sesso e le femmine tendono a divertirsi con più maschi in quanto vanno in calore per lunghi periodi, anche un mese continuativo. Non di rado si masturbano a vicenda e attuano pratiche di sesso orale a vicenda per rilassarsi o sedare i conflitti.
Un altra peculiarità di queste particolari scimmie, chiamate simpaticamente "scimmie hippies", è che nelle loro pratiche, prediligono la posizione del missionario. Da studi scientifici, risultano essere molto meno violenti di tutte le altre scimmie.

SURICATE
I Suricate sono dei piccoli mammiferi, che vivono nei deserti dell' Africa.
A capo del gruppo c'è la Regina, la femmina Alfa, che è la prima ad uscire dalla tana, e a guidare tutti nella caccia. La maggior parte dei piccoli sono figli suoi, ma all'interno del gruppo, molto importanti sono le femmine che svolgono il ruolo di baby sitter, con il compito di proteggere e accudire i piccoli in assenza della regina. 4
Come in tutte le famiglie guidate dalla femmina, c'è un grande senso di solidarietà e di cooperazione.

L' Orcinus Orca è un mammifero marino tra i più temuti e rispettati, appartenente alla famiglia dei Delfinidi, lo si può trovare in tutti gli oceani e mari della terra, dalle acque profonde e fredde, a quelle calde e tropicali.
Solitamente l'Orca vive in famiglie POD composta da femmine, con un capo matriarcale, e un singolo maschio adulto.
Ogni femmina mette alla luce un solo piccolo, dopo oltre un anno di gestazione.
La caratteristica principale è la cooperazione nella caccia, dove ogni componente del Pod, sa esattamente quello che deve fare e tutti i componenti si occupano dello svezzamento dei piccoli fin dalla nascita.
Le Orche per comunicare tra loro, producono suoni subacquei molto diversificati e variegati. Ogni componente emette un suono ben preciso, come se fosse un dialetto personale. 5

Queen Bees
Inside the ecosystem of the Bees, on the top there are the Queens, the female that gives life to all the bees.
Since her birth, she grows in a greater larva of the usual one, she is nourished from the workers bees with with it eats up her real, that is a secretion on the head of the young bees, and that it serves for making her sexually fertile.1

In every family there are different bees queens and as many virgin bees, ready to replace to give her succession to their family.

African Elephant
Who could drive the flock of the greatest mammal on the Earth? a female there was not doubt.
The African elephants that are moved in groups, are composed from females with theirs small, and to head there is usually the matriarch the most adult female that exploits his great memory to remember the runs of the migrations.

BONOBO

Meerkat
Suricates are of the small mammals, that they live in the deserts of Africa.

Orcinus Orca
