Lake of Ventasso (Lake Calamone)

The lake is located on the Appennino Reggiano (Appennino Tosco Emiliano) in Emilia Romagna (Italy). Its altitude is 1400 meters above sea level, close to the cities of Parma and Reggio Emilia. You can reach it from the Po Valley going to the Valdenza Route (the route close to the Enza River) until the village of Vetto. Then follow the indications for Ramiseto. As soon you are in Ramiseto go to the right until the street that indicate Lago Calamone. After few kms leave the car to the parking then keep walking for a quarter of hour. You can picnic there or eat something of the kitchen spiecialities (like "Gnocco Fritto") in al little restaurant close to the lake.
