Eccoci dopo qualche settimana di stop: una nuova fotostoria in bianco e nero a tema ciclistico. In questo caso ho preso spunto dall'ultima corsa ciclistica amatoriale tenutasi nella provincia di Massa-Carrara per l'estate 2025.

Era il 31 agosto, e il tracciato da percorrere era interamente contenuto nella zona industriale locale. Come ci sono arrivato? Come chi mi segue sa già... con la mia bicicletta, ovviamente. Cambiavo zona di tanto in tanto per poter catturare foto da una diversa angolazione, e il risultato è stato discreto.

A casa, ho poi scelto le foto migliori e ne ho ricreato una versione in bianco e nero. Aumento di contrasti, alte luci e bassi toni, vignettature: tutti piccoli ritocchi per ottenere ciò che hai davanti agli occhi. Un successo? Di certo per gli atleti, mentre per me... lascio a te il compito di deciderlo. Perciò...

Hello!

Here we are again, after a few weeks’ break: a new black-and-white photostory with a cycling theme. This time, I took inspiration from the latest amateur cycling race held in the province of Massa-Carrara during the summer of 2025.

It was August 31st, and the entire route was set within the local industrial area. How did I get there? Well, as those who follow me already know… on my bicycle, of course. I moved around from time to time to capture shots from different angles, and the result turned out quite decent.

Back home, I selected the best photos and recreated them in black and white. Increased contrast, highlights and shadows, a bit of vignetting—just a few small adjustments to achieve what you see here. A success? Definitely for the athletes… as for me, I’ll let you be the judge. So… I hope you enjoyed the view!
