Today I Made Sticky Rice Dodol
Hello Steemians lovers.
This is my first time making a snack, and it sold out instantly because it was so delicious and savory. The snack is called sticky rice dodol.

For the ingredients, I used half a kilogram of glutinous rice.

And add pandan leaves.

Cook over low heat, while roasting and stirring, until the rice feels light and yellowish.

Once the rice is finished roasting, remove it immediately and let it cool, then blend until smooth.

The result should be something like this, not too smooth.

Add 300 grams of brown sugar.

Two pandan leaves, salt, and 400 milliliters of water.

Stir until the sugar dissolves. Once the sugar has dissolved, strain it immediately to remove any lumps.

Then add 600 milliliters of coconut milk.

Cook while Stir until it boils and the coconut milk reduces slightly. Add the roasted glutinous rice.
Continue stirring until well combined.

The dough should be chewy and lumpy. Once the dough is mixed and no longer sticky when stirred, remove it immediately and brush oil onto the baking sheet.

Add banana leaves and continue brushing with oil.

Add the dough. I used a 16 cm x 9 cm baking sheet. Add the dough and let it rest for 2 hours, until the dough sets. Once the dough has set, line all sides of the baking sheet and remove the cake from the baking sheet.

You can see for yourself, the results are very beautiful.

You can really feel it when you cut it. The texture is very soft. In my area, this snack is called glutinous rice dodol, or (halua breuh leukat). In your area, it is called What?
It tastes delicious, soft, savory, and just the right amount of sweetness.

Thanks You.
