Negril 7-Mile Beach Map

in #jahm4 years ago (edited)

Since joining the steem platform I have focused almost all of my posts based on my travels to Negril, 🇯🇲. I’ve thrown out the names of places I’ve experienced and plenty of names of people I’ve encountered. Lots of on the ground looking for the truth and then spreading the gospel.

Decided to throw down a map which shows all of the lodging, restaurants, entertainment, shopping, and activity areas. You can take the time to enlarge, such that you can visualize locations and use as a reference. You can hone in exactly where on the 7 Mile specific places are located. So if you are reading a post for example by @luca1777 about the ——Boat Bar or Coco LA Palm by @crypticat, you can find its location.
😎 Cool

So anyone who has been to Negril knows that getting around years ago was an ordeal. It’s a seven mile stretch of road, which runs parallel to the beach. Road not really busy, but active. Without current GPS devices or access to Google Maps, you’d be lost, as everything is just tucked in here, there and everywhere. Nooks and crannies galore and you just have to know the area. Or the next best thing, flag down a red plated route taxi. But with today’s technology that is all behind us.

Check out this map legend where establishments are notated off Norman Manley Blvd. This is a map image that I downloaded off the internet years and years ago.
It’s unique for it outlines locations
on both seaside and roadside.

When I visit Negril I take a copy with me. Actually make copies and hand out to Jamaicans who think it is unique. Makes for a nice visual and when framed and hung makes for a great talking point. Wow, where’d you get that!

If I receive a positive response to this post, I will post similar map which shows establishments on
One Love Drive and the famous Cliffs. Home of the famous Ricks Cafe, Three Dives, Samara, and let I not forget MiYard.

When visiting Negril it’s nice to place everything into perspective such that it makes you more aware of your surroundings. Not a good feeling when you say to yourself...

I’M LOST

Places galore. I need to explore my home country more. So many Jamaicans only know their neighborhood and so much niceness around.

I'm sure this map will be very helpful to those who visit Negril and don't have a GPS, thanks for sharing it.
