It's truly baffling beyond belief

Even if we oppose it, they pass the bill. They don't pass the bills we want them to. They raise taxes even though everyone is struggling. They don't try to increase food self-sufficiency. They don't try to stop Japan's declining birthrate. They bring in immigrants to fill the population gap. They turn a blind eye to the deterioration of public safety. And yet, they only try to butter us up during elections. Why doesn't everyone get angry at the Japanese government for treating its citizens with such contempt?
