YOUR SON LIVES

"JESUS SAID TO HIM, “GO YOUR WAY; YOUR SON LIVES.” SO, THE MAN BELIEVED THE WORD THAT JESUS SPOKE TO HIM, and he went his way."
John 4:50 (NKJV)

When God says something is done, it should be considered done. The man whose son was ill believed the Word of Jesus when He told him, YOUR SON LIVES.

Your faith in God will bring to the fulfilment whatever God has told you. The man could have been arguing with Christ, telling Jesus that He had to follow him to his house, but the man did not do that, he simply believed what Jesus said; YOUR SON LIVES.

The Israelites in the wilderness could not get to the land promised them by God because of their Unbelief: "SO WE SEE THAT THEY COULD NOT ENTER IN BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF" (Hebrews 3:19 NKJV).

They could not enter into God's rest, the land that was promised to them, because they did not allow the Word of God which they heard mix with faith in them:
"FOR INDEED THE GOSPEL WAS PREACHED TO US AS WELL AS
TO THEM; BUT THE WORD WHICH THEY HEARD DID NOT PROFIT THEM, NOT BEING MIXED WITH FAITH IN THOSE WHO HEARD IT" (Hebrews 4:2).

If you had been walking with God for a period of time, and you had experienced His faithfulness, He would not want to condone your Unbelief in any way (Hebrews 10:26,27). Usually, God's reaction to Unbelief displayed by a professed believer is severe.

If a believer would not allow the Word of God which was heard by him or her to mix with faith in them, the outcome would be like what the Israelites experienced in the wilderness:
"BUT GOD WAS NOT PLEASED WITH MOST OF THEM, SO THEY DIED [or were struck down; or (their bodies) were scattered] IN THE DESERT [as judgment for Unbelief and refusing to enter the Promised Land]" (1 Corinthians 10:5 Expanded Bible).

READ: Numbers 13—14

A number of people, including believers, tend to believe that some other sins like immorality, murder, and the like are the grievous sins in God's sight, but that could be far from the truth. The sin of Unbelief made a good number, larger percentage of the Israelites, to perish in the wilderness (1 Corinthians 10:5-11).

Thus, whatever God has told you lately, either through the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, or through His servants, or whichever way; believe it and take a step. It is your belief, your faith, that
would actualize or make the Word spoken to you a reality. It is faith that pleases God, but Unbelief displeases Him. It is only through faith in God's Word—written and the one spoken to you or impressed in your heart—that you can please Him:
“BUT WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM, FOR HE
WHO COMES TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS, AND THAT HE IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM" (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV).

Remember, to please God means to give satisfaction to Him, or gladden His heart, and without the gladdening of His heart, you may not be able to receive whatever He has for you.

Peace.
