এক তরুণী দোকানে গেল একটা কথা বলা টিয়া পাখি কিনতে। দোকানদার একটি পাখির খুব প্রশংসা করল-
দোকানদার : এটা সব বোঝে, নিজে থেকেই অনেক কিছু শিখে নেয়!
মেয়েটি খুশি হয়ে পাখিটাকে গিয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করল-
মেয়ে : আচ্ছা আমাকে দেখে আমার সম্পর্কে কী মনে হয় তোমার?
পাখি : বেশি সুবিধার না, বাজে মাইয়া!
মেয়েটি রেগেমেগে দোকানদারকে গিয়ে অভিযোগ করল! দোকানদার পাখিটাকে ধরে এক বালতি পানিতে কয়েকটি চুবানি দিলো, এরপর জিজ্ঞেস করল-
দোকানদার : আর খারাপ কথা বলবি?
পাখি : না না, আর বলব না!
মেয়েটি খুশি হয়ে আবার পাখিটিকে জিজ্ঞেস করেল-
মেয়ে : আচ্ছা আমি যদি রাতে ঘরে একজন পুরুষ নিয়ে ঢুকি, তুমি কী মনে করবে?
পাখি : তোমার স্বামী।
মেয়ে : যদি দু’জনকে নিয়ে ঢুকি?
পাখি : তোমার স্বামী আর দেবর!
মেয়ে : যদি তিনজনকে নিয়ে ঢুকি?
পাখি : তোমার স্বামী, দেবর আর ভাই।
মেয়ে : যদি চারজনকে নিয়ে ঢুকি?
পাখি : ওই মিয়া বালতি নিয়া আসো! আগেই কইছিলাম, এই মাইয়া সুবিধার না, বাজে মাইয়া!
