Greetings to everyone!
I welcome all my Steemit friends to the Steemit learning challenge season 28. In this season we learn very different and delicious recipes of kebab and how to make different types of kebab. Kebab are our identity of our meals. In this week we are learning very simple and easily made at home full of nutrients Shami Kebab. These kebabs are famous for this softness, amazing fragrance and balance ingredients.
Today I shared a step by step recipe of Shami Kebab with full of delicious flavours that any one can easily made at home.
1. Have you ever made Shami Kebab at home?
Yes it's definitely true I made Shami Kebab at home many times in every occasion and festival Shami Kebab are one of those dishes which are mandatory and compulsory to every event menu. Because Shami Kebab are one of those dishes whose are easily making by few ingredients and when its ready. It gives such a flavorful and amazing meal journey who never forget it by anyone. In my very first attempt I'm facing some difficulties, sometimes my Dal soft then more which I want and in some condition my mixture is more softer then I needed. But after many times making it I learned how to make perfect Shami Kebabs at home using perfect and simple ingredients according to best quantity and consistency.
One of the most important things when you make Shami Kebab it's perfect quantity of meat and Dal. Balanced quantity are very important when you making it. If Dal increases then kebab are dry and when meat is increasing the kebabs break during frying. I always try that the quantity of ingredients and spices are balanced and according to demand. That's the taste no more tasty and not more low.
In my home My family members to loves to eat Shami Kebabs. Especially in the evening time of tea and with the perfect beryani plate Shami Kebab Making beryani more special. I'm feel very lucky to make one more time Shami Kebab at home because of this Steemit learning challenge season 28 which provides that opportunity for me. In this time when I making it I follow all the steps more carefully and according to my recipe.
Ingredients
Ingredients — Quantity
Chicken — 400 grams
Chana Dal — 1 cup
Chopped Onion — 1 cup
Green Chillies — 3–4 pcs
Coriander Leaves — ½ cup
Turmeric Powder — 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder — 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder — 1 tsp
Cumin Powder — 1 tsp
Black Pepper — ¼ tsp
Ginger & Garlic Paste — 2 tbsp
Eggs — 2 pcs
Cinnamon — 2 pcs
Bay Leaves — 2 pcs
White Cardamom — 3–4 pcs
Black Cardamom — 2 pcs
Cloves — 4–5 pcs
Salt — 1 tbsp
Mustard Oil — 2 tbsp
2. Step-by-step recipe with own pictures
Step 1
In the very first step I soaked my Dal for four hours. It makes it soft.
Step 2
After removing the water from Dal, I simply add chicken. Also add ginger-garlic paste، chili powder، turmeric، cumin، coriander، whole spices، salt, onion and mustard oil.
Step 3
After mixing all the ingredients, simply add two cups of water and cook it for one hour on intermediate flame. Cool it after it is cooked.
Step 4
After cooling it, I remove all the whole spices and blend the mixture using blender. Not very thin because the meat texture feel when you eat.
Step 5
Now I added coriander, chopped onion and green chillies.
Step 6
After adding two eggs I mixed it properly using my hands. Now kebab mixture ready for making kebabs.
Step 7
Using my hands I make simple round and egg shaped kebabs.
Step 8
In the end I add some cooking oil the pan and after heating it, I deep fry the kebabs. First in high flame then in low flame making it golden brown. I placed on the tissue paper when kebab are ready.
