Finding missing mods for Koikatsu

Methods and places to look for missing mods

- KKManager -

You can download/update commonly used mods (not plugins) using KKManager.

The BetterRepack and HF patch come with most of the common mods downloadable with KKManager, but:

  1. If you have older versions you can update mods (again, not plugins) with it
  2. They both don't come with the SideloaderModPack - Studio used for CharaStudio

This takes care of common mods most creators may expect you to have installed, but not extra mods that where custom made for a character/outfit/scene or extra plugins not included in the BR/HF patch (tho that is far less often an issue)

If you don't want to use KKManager but still want the mods, you can either get the ModPacks from this (probably not updated) Google drive or search them individually with this google search query:

site:sideload.betterrepack.com insert_name_of_mod_here -AISHS2

(replace insert_name_of_mod_here by the name of the mod)

- Getting a list of missing mods -

You can get a list of missing mods for a character using KKManager's Tools (not the one at the top, the one in the male and female tabs)

You can also check in-game after getting "missing mod" messages using F1 Plugin Settings>Open Log and Ctrl+F searching for [UAR]. This will give you the full, untranslated name/ID of the mods (useful for CN/JP names).

- Using Pixiv and Discord as sources -

While db.bepis.moe has lots of cards, they're often reposts or slight alterations of the original and don't link the extra mods required by the card, so you usually need to go look for them.

I recommend you use sources of original content like Pixiv (see how to) and the Discord's cards, outfits, and scenes distribution channels

- Discord -

You can use the discord search in these channels:

If you can't find a mod with the information of this post or the sources below, you can also ask in #help with the full name of the mod (from the log, see Getting a list of missing mods above).

- Character specific mods -

If you can't find the mod, you can try searching for the character instead.

First, find the character's tag (see "Finding a specific Character").

If you don't have an author name, use that tag and キャラ配布(コイカツ) (it means "character release") in the Pixiv search bar.

If you do have the mod's author name, you can start by searching his page rather than all of Pixiv. Search for the user by using the User tab instead of Top. If you get no results, check if the name you have is in the Authors alt names table below and use the Pixiv name instead.

Once you are on his page, scroll down and click Show all. You'll see a bunch of tags and at their right a -Filter button. You can try finding by using the character's tag, English name, game's tag, game's name, or more broadly with

  • キャラ配布(コイカツ) (it means "character release")
  • 衣装配布(コイカツ) ("costume distribution", clothes/head/hair/etc)
  • MOD配布(コイカツ) (means Mod Distribution).
