Dream

I was traveling and stopped at a church to use a public facility for showering that they provided for travelers. When I came out of the shower my clothes were gone. I was very upset to say the least. Now what do I do?
But it became clear to me in the dream that it was not merely the inconvenience. There was more going on why I was upset. I was attached to those particular clothes. They were "my" clothes. Easy enough to get some other bodily covering but I wanted those clothes.

I felt violated. When someone steals something the person who loses whatever it is feels violated. Something that belonged to them had been stolen. They had been attached.
Applying this to Gita... and changing bodies life after life....

I will get another body of some sort either material or spiritual (eventually if I continue on the path of devotion) So why is it so traumatic at death? Because I am attached to this particular body. "My" body and everything associated with it.

Looking at how many times I have moved from one living place to another. Each time I settled in to the new living situation. But then I moved out and into another place. A house, an apartment, an institution, a travel trailer, a van.... and each time I forgot the previous and became absorbed in the present one which I also had to leave at some point. Having moved around so much in this life it is easier to see how this works and prepare for the next situation.
