A farmer training and field meeting was held on “Cultivation Techniques of Uninnovated Salt Tolerant Groundnut-6 and Groundnut-8” in the coastal Hatia Island. This training was held under the project to increase the production of oil crops under implementation by Bangladesh Atomic Agriculture Research Institute (BINA).
Organized by Noakhali Bina Upkendra and with the cooperation of Hatia Upazila Agriculture Extension Department, local farmers participated in the training held at Dakshin Gamchakhali village of Charking Union on Wednesday (February 7) afternoon. Under the chairmanship of Hatia Upazila Executive Officer (Acting) Md. Golam Sarwar, Director General Dr. Bina spoke as the chief guest in the farmer training. Mirza Mofazzal Islam, chief scientific officer and project director (without organs) spoke as a special guest. Md.
