Panel Chairman Morshed Alam in his speech urged everyone to turn the grief of losing the Father of the Nation into strength and devote themselves to build his dream Sonar Bangla.

Panel Chairman Morshed Alam said that Sunday is National Mourning Day. Bangladesh does not exist without Bangabandhu. the greatest Bengali father of the nation, his wife, son, daughter-in-law and his close relatives received martyrdom. I pay my deepest respect to their memory with a sorrowful heart and pray for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyrs in the presence of the Most Merciful Allah.

Panel Chairman Morshed Alam said, Bangabandhu was the dreamer of the Bengali nation and the embodiment of independence. From the language movement of 1952 to the United Front election of 54, the anti-military movement of 58, the 6-point movement of '66, the popular uprising of '69, and the election of 70, he led every democratic and freedom movement for the liberation and rights of Bengalis.

He said, Bangabandhu never compromised on the question of Bengali rights. He also sang Bengali and Bengali songs on the gallows. After a long ups and downs, this great leader ignored the bloodshot eyes of the then Pakistani ruling group on March 7, 1971 and thunderously announced to millions of people at the Race Course Maidan, 'This time is our freedom struggle, this time is a freedom struggle', which was basically a call for independence.

Following this, he declared independence on March 26, 1971, and under his leadership, the Bengali nation achieved victory through a long nine-month armed liberation war. The assassins killed the father of the nation but could not erase his principles and ideals. As long as Bangladesh exists, the name of the father of the nation will remain eternally indelible in the hearts of millions of Bengalis in this country.

A BNP leader of Noakhali Sadar Upazila, bordering Char Kadira of Kamalnagar Upazila, was shot and killed in medieval style. Two more people were injured in this incident.

The deceased Harunur Rashid Mollah (45) is the general secretary of Underchar Union BNP of Noakhali upazila and son of deceased Nachibul Haque of West Maijchara village of Ward No. 3 of the same union.

The incident took place at a place called Taltala west of Chowkidar Hat in Ward No. 3 of Underchar Union at around 9 pm on Friday.

Aminul Haque, the brother of the deceased, said that the deceased's son Sajib had an argument with some local boys a few days ago. Due to this trivial incident, 15-20 armed armed men started looking for Sajib in various places including the local Chowkidar Bazaar from evening today. Sajib's father BNP leader Harunur Rashid Mollah got the news and left for the local chowkidar market around 8 pm on a motorcycle to save his son. On the way, he met the armed men when he reached the local Taltala place.

At that time, 15-20 armed terrorists shot him and killed him by hacking his stomach. At that time, the terrorists seriously injured him and his nephew Ramiz Uddin (25). His other brother escaped from the spot and escaped with his life. After that the locals rescued them and took them to Noakhali General Hospital where the doctor on duty declared BNP leader Mollah as dead. His nephew Ramiz is undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital in Noakhali.

It is to be noted that the deceased Harunur Rashid Mollah was a candidate for the post of chairman in Underchar Union as a candidate supported by BNP in 2011 and in 2016 he was elected to the post of chairman with the image of a grain of rice.

Syed Mohiuddin Abdul Azim, resident doctor of Noakhali General Hospital said that Harunur Rashid Mollah was brought to the hospital in a dead state. Two more people are injured in the incident and are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Noakhali Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Akramul Hasan confirmed the murder. He also said that the matter is being investigated by the police. Details will be given later.
