When the sky decided to shine

That day, the sky woke up with a sense of humor and decided that gray everyday life is for weaklings. At first, it slowly pulled on a coat made of morning mist, as if trying on the image of a "doubting intellectual." But by noon, it was clear that it was time to go out. And it came out — in full radiance, with tiny clouds as accessories.

The clouds, as always, were ready for outrage. They were repainted off—screen: some were fluffy, like an imaginary cheesecake; others were artistically stretched, as if the sky had decided to take a selfie in the panorama. Passersby stopped and clicked their phones, as if the sky was a popular Instagram blogger that couldn't be missed.

The sun behaved like a director on a set: it shone exactly where it was needed, sometimes winking and creating dramatic shadows. The birds adapted to his instructions: they fly in graceful circles and look like they are rehearsing a number for ocean cruises. And the wind whispered its lines softly so as not to interrupt the music — although there was only one music: the rustling of leaves and a general murmur of surprise.

By evening, the sky decided to switch to an evening dress code. The orange and pink strokes spread smoothly, as if the artist had drunk too much lemonade, but had not lost his taste. People were reaching out to the windows and balconies, as if before a fashion show — only instead of dresses they were discussing clouds.: "It looks like a cat over there," "But I see a cake," and everyone saw their own little miracle.

The night came neatly, turning off the lights on schedule. The stars lit up one by one, as if someone was turning on a garland at the most important holiday. Luna, a little tired but pleased, settled into her chair and received a standing ovation. And the sky, already satisfied with its own work, fell asleep and promised to surprise again tomorrow — only this time with new jokes.

And that's the beauty of it: a beautiful sky is like a good stand—up: it makes you laugh, delights, and leaves you feeling that the world is still run by someone with a great sense of humor.
