MEET TEAM LATVIA LACROSSE!

This is lacrosse National team of Latvia!

I play in Latvian national team since 2014. when we went to Denver to comete in World games and took 19th place out of 38 teams. We played 8 games in 10 days and won 5 out of them. It was super tough because of the high altitude and running in high temperature such as +35 celsius made it not easy at all.

This is some defence action from game against Team Thailand in witch we took a big W in really close game. It was tough game cause of refs who gave us a lot of penalties because the Thailand players were kind of short and our team is the very opposite of it. So basically every time we made body-checks the checks went into their heads which is a penalty. So we played a lot of man down.

They were flopping as well as being really beaten down. But.. that happens with every team that plays against us. We play hard and everybody knows that!

We had to go very very low to do clean hit! And this is one of the shortest players on our squad! :D

My favorite part of this game was their goalie!! He plays in USA in professional lacrosse league called MLL (Major Lacrosse League). He went out of the game after first half of it! Our goalie came to him after the game and asked: "Dude what happened, why didn't you finnish the game?" on which he replied: "I couldn't take it anymore, you guys hit me so hard every time i go out of the goal to clear the ball that my hands are numb!!" But this time that was our goal to do so, cause that Kid was really good.
