Sanatorium Spitsino
The weather followed a strict schedule: three days of rain, one day of sunshine, and so on throughout the entire period. The military blocked the internet just a day after my arrival at the sanatorium, allowing me to relax without being distracted by the internet. During the rainy days, I read books from the sanatorium's extensive library, and on sunny days, I explored the surrounding area.
Lake Nelai (Nelaya on old maps) was formed as a result of the location of the village of Nelai (Nelaya) on the southern shore of the lake. It was first mentioned in the 1500 census book of the Vodskaya Pyatina as the village of Nelai, in the Dmitrievsky Gorodensky Pogost of the Novgorodsky Uyezd. The lake is 2 km long, with a maximum width of 500 m and a depth of up to 10 m. The fish species include pike, perch, roach, and burbot.
