Skadarsko Lake 

Is a peat lake on the Balkan peninsula. Access to this lake is quite unique through the Adriatic Sea. It only takes about 20 minutes through the Sozina tunnel along the Bojana River that flows on the sidelines of the big mountains. Its natural beauty with the harmony of the sound of birds is fascinating. The Bojana River is the only river that connects Skadar Lake and the Adriatic Sea. Two thirds of the lake belongs to Montenegro, while a third belongs to the Republic of Albania. In 1983 the 40,000-hectare Lake section of Montenegro was declared a protected national park.

Skadarsko Lake adalah danau gambut di semenanjung Balkan. Akses ke danau ini cukup unik yaitu melalui Laut Adriatik. Hanya perlu waktu sekitar 20 menit melalui terowongan Sozina menyusuri Sungai Bojana yang mengalir di sela-sela gunung-gunung besar. Keindahan alamnya dengan harmoni suara burung-burung sungguh mempesona. Sungai Bojana adalah satu-satunya sungai yang menghubungkan Skadar Lake dan Laut Adriatik. Dua pertiga dari danau ini milik Montenegro, sementara sepertiga milik Republik Albania. Pada tahun 1983 bagian danau seluas 40.000 hektar milik Montenegro dinyatakan sebagai taman nasional yang dilindungi.
