RE: Is LASIK surgery safe for someone with mild dry eye symptoms?
I had mild dry eye before my LASIK, and honestly, it was mostly manageable afterward. My eyes were a bit drier for the first few weeks, but with regular lubricating drops and follow-ups, it settled down. The key is talking openly with your surgeon about your symptoms — they can adjust the procedure or give a plan to protect your eyes. For a lot of people with mild dry eye, LASIK doesn’t make it dramatically worse long-term.
