Starting off by wishing good health to all Steemit friends. Let's take part in an important engagement challenge. The theme of the engagement challenge is SLC22-W1 / Basic Notions of Law. Through this engagement challenge I will be able to share about my law of Bangladesh and learn about the laws of other countries. So let's get started.

Part I - Say in your own words and based on what you explained in class: What is law?

  • What is law: Law is the proper management of social norms through special knowledge and skills recognized by the state. By following the law, it brings order in every society or country. Law is a rule that is mandatory for all types of citizens. Law is personal, social, political and State affects everything. Through the law all types of people get justice i.e. punishment is given for criminal acts. Because law is a rule that applies to everyone. Through law, people can make and enforce rules to lead a free, fair and orderly life.

Part I - Consider the explanations given in class according to your country's law and legislation. I have given two examples of "objective law" and two examples of "subjective law".

PURPOSE LAWS PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE FOR SOCIETY. Through this law, the rules of social life become orderly. Two examples of objective laws are,

  • Child Marriage Act, 2017 : A law has been enacted to prevent child marriage in the society. For example, marrying boys under 21 years and girls under 18 is a punishable offence. Through this law, child marriage is prevented in the society.
  • Information Act 2009 : The main objective of the Information Act is to promote freedom of speech and empowerment of citizens. Corruption will be reduced through the Information Act. Violation of the Information Act is considered a punishable offence.

Matters Individuals can assert their fundamental rights through past laws. These laws govern the interaction of individuals.

  • Bangladesh Labor Law, 2006 : The main objective of labor law is protection of workers, ensuring basic needs and improvement of labor and conditions. It means a comprehensive law for protection and rights of working people.

  • Transfer of Property Act, 1882 : By means of the Property Act, the legal person clause refers to the legal recognition system of ownership of property. Claiming another's property by dispossession is an offense under the Transfer of Property Act.

Practical cases: State what you have learned, where objective laws and subjective laws exist in the case.

Objective Law

  • Traffic Act, 2018 : Pedestrians have violated the rules of the Traffic Act. Violation of the provisions of Section (42) of Traffic Signals and Use of Signs shall be punishable with imprisonment of one month or a fine of Tk 10,000.

  • So the pedestrian can be punished as a health offender with one month imprisonment or a fine of 10,000 rupees or both. Hence the fact that disobeying traffic laws is an important punishable offence.

SUBJECT PAST ACT

  • Pedestrian resorted to emergency situation. Because his son was very sick and he violated traffic law by rushing to hospital. Since he rushed to save his son's life his punishment can be reduced by checking his honesty. Because law is for everyone. equal to However, the punishment can be increased by understanding the situation.

  • But pedestrians should remember that traffic laws are made for the good of every citizen. Because if traffic signals are not obeyed, accidents can happen at any time. So we all should obey traffic laws in all situations.

Part || Make a comparison based on what you explained in class and according to the laws of your country. Give an example of a law and an example of an ideal.

Law is what is mandatory by the state and everyone is ready to accept it. Law does not discriminate against caste or religion. Law is equal for all. On the other hand, rules are human-made rules that match their behavior and morals. People's behavior or morality is not always the same. But it must have social or state influence.

Comparison :

If the law does not follow the same law for all, then punishment is imposed on him.

Rules are made by the people of the society which are often violated but no fine or heavy punishment is given. However, this results in chaos in the society. So everyone should follow the rules.

  • An example of a law: Under the Criminal Code of Bangladesh, the Basic Law of Bangladesh makes it a punishable offense for a borrower to default on a loan. Through this act, the debt is demanded to be paid.

  • A typical example: Recovery of money from the borrower through a compromise settlement. In that case, some respectable people of the society can mediate between the two parties.

Analyze and explain in which part of the case Mr. Juan Perez is violating a law and in which part he is violating a rule

Rent Control Act, 1991: Mr. Juan Perez has not paid three months' rent for his apartment, so it is a crime to violate the Rent Control Act. So the owner of the apartment Mr. Juan Perez can take action under the Act. The apartment owner can intervene under the Rent Control Act (1991) in any situation.
Violation of rules : Mr. Juan Perez has violated the rules of his apartment by keeping four dogs in his apartment without the rules. It is not an ethical behavior because the other residents of the apartment feel uncomfortable with this use. In that case he should take the measures with the opinion of everyone in the apartment.

Comparison and Explanation

  • The law provides punishment for a criminal act. Laws are generally made for criminals. Laws facilitate the establishment of a state.

  • Rules are a moral behavior created by the people of the society. In order not to create chaos in the society, various rules are applied.

Part III Explain in your own words the importance of comparative law based on what you have seen in class.

Law is the main mantra of crime reduction in a state. Laws make it possible to reduce the crime of a state. So we all should respect the law and live according to it. Below are the importance of some laws:

There are different types of laws in Bangladesh. So all the people of this country respect the law to get justice and everyone gets justice. Because as I said before the law is equal for all.

For proper administration of law society and state suppresses crime. Law is non-discriminatory, it applies to all.

It will be possible to improve the quality of life of the people of the country by following the basic law of Bangladesh, the traffic law. Besides, state improvement may be possible through measures following the laws of other countries.

Every human being should have respect for the law which is reflected in their moral behavior. Because the litigant gets justice and benefits based on the judge's verdict.

The last thing we can say is that we all should respect the law and have faith in the law.
