"Legalize It" Hits a Federal Wall

Colorado and Washington has made gazillions by legalizing marijuana. This increase in taxes have been a boon to these states. I'm hoping this enables them to institute many beneficial social and public services. This November, California, along with seven other states, gets another shoot at that green gold. 

But despite the state trend, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) refused to downgrade MJ as a Schedule 1 substance under the Controlled Substances Act. Too bad. This will lead to unequal law enforcement and certain populations will be unfairly criminalized. This also means less research into MJ's medical benefits. Time for Congress to take action!
