Review of Bún Miến Ngan Minh Thu

Eating in Hanoi can be a challenge sometimes. I was looking for a certain type of food, but all three places were closed. Luckily, there is literally a restaurant everywhere you look in Hanoi. I noticed a noodle place and decided to give it a shot. Bún Miến Ngan Minh Thu specializes in duck and noodles with duck. They have the choice of regular bún noodles or cellophane noodles. I went with bún with duck, meatballs, duck blood, and bamboo. What a great bowl of noodles. The broth is light, but deep at the same time; if that makes any sense. The duck was tender and the blood was firm, but not too iron-y.

The space is small and you feel like you are in someone's bedroom because there is a bed in a corner. I love Hanoi restaurants that are in the front room of people's homes. I'm gonna miss that type of stuff when I go back to America.
