The propaganda coming out of Hollywood though is really something to behold. The good thing is it's not so subtle anymore, and more Americans are starting to wake up from decades of brainwashing.
Jeff Im so glad to see your transformation!
I remember seeing videos awhile back where you were so uncomfortable within yourself - grasping for things or an action to redirect your attention away from how you felt inside, such as grabbing a drink or smoking a cig, etc.
I saw my heart within you & wished I could put my hand threw the screen and ease the pain in your heart & allow you to truly look at it - & learn to be okay with not feeling okay.
Start the honest look within - & address the issues and via your loving attention & understanding make the choices to heal those wounds which still lay below the surface.
This video was inspiring to see your heart on the table & your spiritual transformation within & without.
You were vulnerable and your heart open - that takes courage.
(Here's to all the people
who get back up more times than they are knowcked down,
who give more than they ever
expect to receive,
Who still show love to others,
even when their own heart is broken,
Who smile through the sad times,
Who light the way for others,
Who spread laughter & Joy.
Thank-you for making the
world a better place.)
It's true, Americans are waking up!
This is quite true; self love makes you a better person. You cannot hold other high when your self esteem is wanting. Thanks for the spot-on motivational post.
Self-love is the key to love others. It's also in the bible as part of the most important commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Jeff, don't begrudge the hockey. We all need a respite, consider it self-love. :)
Besides, how many times does it happen that the solution to a problem comes once you step away from it for a minute, like when you're doing the coffee enema. just saying..
You're right about us all being programmed. The degree to which we still are seems to be the big division (angst). We are all damaged goods and in that light, we should all be a whole lot nicer to each other. kinder
Glad that you got a grip on your depression. I had that for the longest time as well. Yours seems to have been beaten by your critical thinking internal investigation. I beat mine using a mental exercise. Once I got good and ticked off at what it was doing to me, I started inviting it in during my strong moments (just for a second) and then I would proceed to kick the holy hell out of it.
It stopped coming around, tired of getting beat I guess. But a point here is that thinking you can't control your own mind is false, at least in my case and yours.
I had an idea for a product that would teach people how to do what I did but never followed through with it. Maybe I'll share it here and someone else can do something with it.
It's a simple hour glass of sand. When you turn it over, it shows a smiley face and as it the sand runs out, the face begins to frown. You go over and make it smile again. It's analogous to the mental exercise of you're in control.
but
what the bleep do I know
"if our thoughts can do that to water, imagine what they can do to us" - we're 90% water
sorry, this got so long, just wanted to add these words from my website:
Thank you Jeff for all your work. We are fighting for a better world.
Yes I agree, accepting criticism is very important point.
You are correct, a lot of people dont accept criticisms, I was like that before, then I had to pause an look at it again ,, and said ,, even if the critics are wrong, im dammn gonna accept it that way !
Soo.... what is steemit exactly?
Sometimes we focus on seeking perfection and pretend things that we are not just to give good impression to people, but we do not seek our own happiness without seeing that makes us happy or give us self-esteem but I think that who does not have self-love can not love someone else since as I say first I second and third others.
