"COAL CONSUMPTION AFFECTING CLIMATE"
An article published in a newspaper in 1912 that warned about the dangerous effects of increasing coal consumption has become even read recently in the context of the US presidential election. Donald Trump denied global warming and catalogate it as a lie planned by China.
Withdrawal of US Climate Paris Agreement could lead to a further increase in temperature of 0.3 degrees Celsius, says Director of the Department for Atmospheric Research and Environment of the World Meteorological Organization, Deon Terbalanche.
Paris Agreement signed by US and other 187 countries, aims to keep global temperature rise "significantly below" 2 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels. Only Syria and Niacaragua not signed the agreement. World Meteorological Organization reported that 2016 was the warmest recorded on Earth into the global temperature measurements in 1880.
Global warming don t means something new for our planet. Conversely, periods of very high temperatures and ice alternate according to a cycle that scientists are still far from the understanding, but whose existence is supported by evidence of increasingly numerous. As an idea, the last half million years the planet has gone through no less than seven ice age, 7,000 years and now we have entered a new period of warming of the atmosphere.
