2. Before interviews By alvinng77
What happen after sending many resumes application and finally one of your resume profile
caught the eyeball of a HR or Recruiter….Yes!
All right an interview is coming…get prepared!
Many times I have experienced myself too and hear from friends even this every moment let’s read up the company and interviewer know about them and score in interview now! Yes this step is necessary but not yet...a lot of candidates cannot even make the first impression prior going the interview…OK what is it??
……………. The very first basic step is to plan the perfect interview schedule.
Make sure you have planned ahead likelihood when is the first round of interview, second round etc and do you have enough days of leave or MC to cover for contingency just in case you have more interviews than expected,
Who to cover for your current work when you are not around sneaking out for interviews so that you will not have unwanted persistent calls vibrating in your bag pack during interview.
All these steps though look harmless and not deem necessary but it can really help you in planning for the perfect interview schedule to score the first virtual impression!
2nd step. Research the company and the interviewer. You are able to describe the company business and key products/services in one sentence ( Sweet and short clear answer). Ask your friends and check through LinkedIn if you can fish more information about the interviewer so that you can relate better answers to him/her. (Visualize how you can relate better to your future potential supervisor likely is the interviewer)
3rd step. Review your own resume and ask yourself what is your strengths and weaknesses, career objectives, knowing clear of your job scope in every company, recall some *toughest situations you ever face in your career history and how you solve it (from this *question and the answers can tell a lot of one's communication skills, problem solving skills, adversity quotient, how you get the buy in and manage stakeholders etc)
4th step. Select appropriate interview outfit and have enough rest before the day of interview.

Lastly remember to put on a great smile for the interview and...................
reach there 10-15 minutes earlier to get settled down.
All the best wishes to your day of interview and stay tuned for my next post of During interviews!
